PopCult Anime Con 2023 Sunday Gallery Part 1
Sunday at PopCult Anime Con 2023 started off nearly as busy as Saturday was. I had people waiting for me to set up so they could get photos taken of their cosplays. That said, there are two galleries from Sunday instead of the three from Saturday, for the typical reasons — some people chose not to be in cosplay on Sunday to have a casual day, and the show closed at 5 p.m., hours before things slowed down on Saturday.
Sunday’s two big events were the Idol Showcase in the morning and the Formal Ball late afternoon. With many attendees having already left for the day, the Formal was definitely the smaller of the two. Before the Showcase started at 11 a.m., the Eden Vale lobby was packed with both people waiting to be seated and idol groups waiting to perform. That’s why I chose one of the many idol duos I photographed as the featured image above. A big shoutout to the security staff at the table just up the steps from where I was set up, who allowed me to shout to all the people in the lobby that I was taking official PopCult photos at the studio and they could stop by before or after the showcase and get their cosplay pictures taken.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
