PortConMaine 2018 Cosplay Gallery, Friday Part 1

It has been three years at least since my last time at Maine’s largest anime convention, PortConMaine. My first trip back into my home state for PortConMaine was 2011 and I’ve been a fan ever since. The convention, held at the DoubleTree Hotel in South Portland (the two large pancake stack towers across from the Maine Mall) is relatively small but packed with attendees, many of whom never make it further south for other anime cons.

This year we decided to apply as guests, and were surprised that we were quickly accepted, along with our two panels. So Emmanuel and I were joined by Cosplay And Photography Expo panelists BelleChere, Lodaim Cosplay, and Kitteninstrings Cosplay who is also a long-time PortConMaine staffer. We ran two panels Saturday. Both the Beginning Cosplay Photography and the Advanced Cosplay Q&A panels were well attended, fun and a good way to promote CAPE.

Cosplayers in this first of two galleries from Friday include terushiimayuji, Alanaleilani, kyutoryu, piscestj, BexxiQuinn Doll Cosplay, Lupus Cosplay and Modeling, and many more.
