Product Review: TYLT Speaker
So, I was sitting here writing emails and taking care of laundry, and my friend who stayed over last night asked me if I had some music speakers. I got the TYLT speaker a few days ago, so I thought “well today is as good a time as any, I just didn’t have the time for it yet.” Since I’m working around the house, I didn’t want to stop and figure it out, so I made a deal with her: if you want a speaker, fine, just set it up. So I gave my friend Leesa the box and said “Enjoy!”.
After 10 minuetes of silence, I hear the sweet sounds of the Yoshida Brothers in my studio. Is there someone with a Shamasen here? Then I realized she figured it out and voila, music in the apartment.
I am so impressed with the sound quality of this speaker. It’s like being in the room of the performer.
Leesa also had a lot to say regarding the packaging. “As someone who makes things for a living, I can tell its high quality because of the packaging and labels. You can see its probably expensive because of the craftsmanship” . I enjoy the packaging TYLT comes up with because of its unique design. I wish more companies took packaging into consideration. We all like pretty things, right?
Leesa just discovered the speakers’ wireless capabilities. She knows computers, but she’s not a tech person, so anyone can do it. We did notice that If I had not already had a 3.5mm phone jack, I could not use it wirelessly. We have had a blast with using it as a speaker for phone calls. Literally, we called each other, put both phones on speaker, and started making bird noises. It was very scientific.
So far, everything is order. I like the speaker, the sound, the everything. I think they could cut back on the plastic packaging waste, or use recyclable plastic, and that would top it off for me. However, although having a 3.5mm cord seems simple enough, if I had not, that would have proved difficult.
