‘Scalebound’ Now Bound For A 2017 Release

We're upset too, Drew.

Just weeks after we ran a preview of the game from our games guru Jibrii Ransom, the developers of the game Scalebound have announced that it will be pushed back from a 2016 release to 2017.

In a blog post today, Platinum Games said that it needed the extra time to ensure it could “deliver on our ambitious vision and ensure that Scalebound lives up to expectations,” so it “will be launching the game in 2017.”

As Jibrii mentioned, in the game you as the player “take control of Drew, accompanied by his dragon named Thuban in order to explore this new world. Unlike most games developed by Platinum, this one focuses more on graphics and the role-playing element of the game instead of just action.” One of those action games that was a big hit (and is now reportedly tough to find, it sold so well) was Bayonetta 2.

The game will be an Xbox One exclusive whenever it does get released. Platinum Games closed out the blog post with this statement: “We will be sharing more about our vision for Scalebound later this year and can’t wait to give you a closer look at the world of Draconis and the incredible creatures and experiences we’re building.”
