The Secret Origin of ADAM WARROCK
I’m not sure where I first heard of Adam Warrock but most likely I came across his work when I was looking for new, good rap music to listen too, specifically nerdcore. And anyone that raps about the comic books that I loved growing up gets bumped up high on my iPod playlist. Adam Warrock is a great rapper, and after watching him perform live you can tell that he puts his whole heart and soul into his music. Last month, he released The Browncoats Mixtape, an album of songs all inspired by the show Firefly and movie Serenity, which has been well received by fans of the show and lovers of hip hop. Nerd Caliber took the opportunity to interview the phenomenal nerdcore rapper at the comic book store Comicazi in Somerville, MA (Boston) about the inspirations behind his work as well as his future in 2012. Below, we also have footage of his live performances at Comicazi. Check out his website at www.adamwarrock.com to find out when he’ll be performing in your town (plus he has a lot of free music you can download).
