Walker Stalker Boston 2017 Losing Steam

This year marks my third visit to Walker Stalker, the Walking Dead and all-things-zombie convention held in several U.S. cities. The convention hosts a huge number of fans, eager to get autographs and photos with their favorite stars. While there were seemingly as many people as in previous years, the convention itself was smaller, with fewer vendors and celebrities, and less overall floor space. I spoke to several people who expressed concern that as the show starts winding down, the convention may follow suit.

Additionally, there were fewer cosplayers than I’ve seen before. Bruce Campbell topping the celebrities list, there were several Ash cosplayers. And while Negan was well-represented, I only saw one Rick Grimes, two Daryls, one big group, and a smattering of people in zombie makeup. Fortunately, I was able to make some great photos with Glamazon Painforest Cosplay, StephMPow, a very entertaining NeganPool (Deadgan?) and an action-packed group of Umbrella Corp soldiers.
