Walking Dead & Sex – Comics in Review – Week of 4/10
Comics in Review: Week of 4/10
Walking Dead #109
For being a avid Walking Dead television show watcher, I hadn’t had much of a look at the comics until recently. However, I was surprised that there were differences between the comic and show. I don’t want to give away much because some people don’t read the comics, and the comics are ahead of the television series.
First of all, I absolutely love the character design and art in the comics. The colors blend well and set the tone of the story line, while character dialogue and attitude works well together, giving us a good look at how these characters feel.
Throughout the article, I could definitely feel how the characters felt, and could empathize with what they’ve been through.
It was a big treat being able to see the other side of the Walking Dead, so if you haven’t checked it out, do so!
Sex #2
Let me start off by saying WOW! I have never really read comics that were similar to Sex, however, this series has proven to be pretty good! Sonia Harris, the graphic designer, has done a fantastic job depicting different scenes, characters and moods. Between the amazing color schemes and artwork, I was immediately enthralled by the comic.
If you haven’t read the story, it’s about an ex-superhero who’s come back to town, and each issues includes a lot of mature content. You’ll definitely have to check it out if you want to see exactly what I’m talking about!
Come back next week for some more awesome comic reviews!! 😀
