Watchmen Cosplay Retrospective Gallery
Last week DC Comics announced a new comic in the Watchmen universe, titled Rorschach. Set 35 years after the original comic series, it features a new person as Rorschach, not Walter Kovacs who, spoiler alert for a 34 year-old comic, died spectacularly.
According to writer Tom King (most famous for his run on Batman titles), the new 12-issue mini-series will be as political as the original comic series, and will be a very “angry work.” Apparently it starts out with the new Rorschach and an unnamed new partner trying (and failing) to assassinate President Robert Redford. You only have to wait until Oct. 13 to see how that debacle plays out in Rorschach No. 1, to be published under DC’s adult Black Label imprint.
I have taken many photos of Rorschach cosplayers over the years, but not enough to fill out a full gallery, so I am including all watchmen cosplays. The earliest photos in this gallery date back to 2012, so well after the movie came out, but there is a good combination of movie and comic book versions of the characters.
