While We Were Down: Batman Revealed, and Dr. Strange?
So while our servers were getting a much needed celebrity makeover, it wasn’t like there was much that happened in the overall nerd world. Oh, wait…
First, Zack Snyder took to Twitter to show us all the first look at the new Batman suit for the upcoming not-Justice League movie (really, it isn’t!) Superman vs. Batman. It was possibly done under the guise of showing off the quality of his Leica M Monochrom camera — which did, to be fair, produce a beautiful black and white image rich in gray tone depth.
The suit has been getting generally positive reviews, with comparisons to the design from the Arkham Asylum games (with less armor though). Although the best opinion on the suit came from a retweet by Gail Simone of a bit of color work by a Canadian designer:
@GailSimone I know, right!? It’s -really- obvious in the colour version! pic.twitter.com/xSdkGE7b9m

The biggest surprise over the last couple of days, and the one most likely to be a mistake or hoax, is the apparent news that Oded Fehr has been chosen to play Dr. Strange, in an as-yet not official movie. Fehr is perhaps best know for playing Carlos in the Resident Evil movie series, but he played a very heroic character in the Mummy films, and has a very good recurring role in the series Covert Affairs. The site IMDb.com is reporting it as “announced,” although no announcement can be found.
Fehr would be an excellent choice, and much more physically right for the role than Johnny Depp, who has been rumored to be gunning hard for the role. Sadly, the image above showing why he would be such a good choice, is from the staggeringly bad movie Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo. Hey, even Affleck made Gigli.
