Wicked Comic Con 2022 Cosplay Gallery Part 2

The second half of the inaugural Wicked Comic Con went from a very busy mid-afternoon with large crowds to a slow end of the day, as most of the cosplayers had moved to the Marina Ballroom in the Westin Waterfront hotel to either participate in or watch the Wicked Costume Contest. Congratulations to Nerdcred Cosplay for taking Best in Show with her Scarlet Witch cosplay.

Given how crowded the Dealer’s Room and Artists Alley spaces were for most of the afternoon, it is no surprise that Wicked Comic Con plans to go to a bigger space at the John B. Hynes Convention Center for 2023. The Westin Waterfront has much more meeting space than was used by Wicked this year, but they are spread out over various floors and the two sides of the building. Being at the Hynes would allow the planned two-day second year event to grow in size and keep the various event rooms close together.

If there is any regret I have from this past Saturday, it was finding out too late that the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center — attached to the Westin Waterfront — held a coffee convention at the same time as Wicked Comic Con.

In 2023 the convention will be held on April 22-23. While I have no inside knowledge, I would expect that Wicked Comic Con would expand its guest list to include a few nerd celebrity guests from movies or TV.

Among the cosplayers in this second and last gallery from Wicked Comic Con are Zombie Leader, Pasha Cosplays, Raymond Ramos Cosplay, sweetangelgurl33, Koi Fish Asylum, Qilin Creations, missnikkimuffin, trynasaurus, megancosslay, Isisa, Olivia Kitt Cosplay, stevieoaks401, jammthejedi, ms.valvacious, and many more.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
